Abstract

Društvene mreže novo su sredstvo komunikacije i socijalizacije društva. Djeci i mladima postaje rutina više puta dnevno provjeravati društvene mreže koje koriste u svrhu komuniciranja i zabave. Cilj ovog diplomskog rada je utvrditi na koji način društvene mreže utječu na navike i svakodnevicu srednjoškolaca, odnosno kako su društvene mreže promijenile njihov odnos prema učenju i slobodnom vremenu. U radu se ispituju tri ključne hipoteze: o razlici u količini vremena provedenog na društvenim mrežama između učenika manjeg i većeg grada, korištenju društvenih mreža za razmjenu materijala za učenje, pronalaženju edukativnog sadržaja i slobodnih aktivnosti srednjoškolaca. Anketa je provedena na srednjoškolcima u dva grada- Ivanić Gradu i Osijeku na dva gimnazijska razreda. Rezultati pokazuju kako postoji razlika u provođenju vremena na društvenim mrežama između učenika dvaju navedenih gradova. Podjednako koriste društvene mreže u periodu od dva do tri sata a razliku vidimo u periodu od četiri sata gdje učenici manjeg grada više pristupaju društvenim mrežama. Ujedno, učenici manjeg grada su više prisutni na društvenim mrežama i za vrijeme nastave, no usprkos tome prate više edukativnog sadržaja na društvenim mrežama od učenika većeg grada. Slobodno vrijeme srednjoškolaca je ispunjeno izlascima, sportskim aktivnostima, hobijima ali i dopisivanjima preko društvenih mreža. Postoje sitne razlike između učenika manjeg i većeg grada, no uglavnom je riječ o manjim razlikama. Budući da učenici i jednog i drugog grada u velikoj mjeri ovise o društvenim mrežama.

Abstract (english)

Social media are new ways of communication and socialization of society. Children and young people have routine of checking social media more than once a day which they use for communication and entertainment purposes. The goal of this masters thesis is to determine how social media affects the habits and everyday life of high school students, that is, how social media have changed their relationship to learning and leisure. Three key hypotheses are examined: the difference in the amount of time spent on social media between pupils of a smaller and larger city, the use of social media for the exchange of learning materials, the finding of educational content and free activities of high school students. The survey was conducted on high school students in two cities - Ivanić Grad and Osijek in two high school classes. The results show that there is a difference in spending time on social media between the students of these two cities. They use social media equally at the same time in a period of two to three hours, and we see a difference in the four hour period where we see that the students of a smaller city access social media more. At the same time, the students of a smaller city are more present on social media and during classes, but despite this, they access more educational content on social media than the students of a larger city. Leisure is filled with dating, sports activities, hobbies, and social networking. There are tiny differences between the students of a smaller and bigger city, but mostly there are minor differences. Since students of both cities depend to a large extent on social networks.
