Abstract

Tema ovog rada jest uloga glumaca, kao aktera celebrity diplomacije, u migrantskoj (izbjegličkog) krizi u razdoblju od 2015. – 2017. godine. Rad se bavi analizom sadržaja Instagram stranice UNHCR-a (UN-ove agencije za izbjeglice) fokusirajući se na dvije ključne cjeline – broj objava fotografija i video isječaka u kojima se prikazuju aktivnosti glumaca oko migrantske (izbjegličke) krize te prosječan broj lajkova postova u kojima se nalaze celebrityji (glumci) u odnosu na one gdje nema prisutnosti celebrityja (glumaca). Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da UNHCR, u svom načinu komuniciranja, na Instagramu nije fokusiran na objave u kojima se nalaze glumci jer one čine 15% objava vezanih uz migrantsku (izbjegličku) krizu te manje od 10 posto ukupnih objava na toj društvenoj mreži. Pratitelji Instagram stranice UNHCR-a više lajkaju objave u kojima su prisutni glumci te one, u smislu prosječnog broja lajkova, ostvaruju veću interaktivnu komunikaciju na publiku te stranice. Ključni akter UNHCR-ovih objava na Instagramu su djeca, koja su prisutna u većini objava u kojima nema glumaca ili celebrityja.

Abstract (english)

The topic of this thesis is the role of actors, as active participants of celebrity diplomacy, in the migrant (refugee) crisis during the period from 2015 until 2017. Thesis is based on a content analysis of UNHCR's Instagram page by focusing on two fundamental parts – number of photographs and videos in which there is a participation of actors regarding the migrant (refugee) crisis and average number of likes of posts where there are celebrities (actors) in difference to those where celebrities (actors) are not present. The results of this research shows that UNHCR in its communication via Instagram is not focused on posts with participation of actors as they make only 15% of all the UNHCR's Instagram posts regarding the migrant (refugee) crisis and less than 10% of all the post published during the research period. Followers of UNHCR's page like more posts where actors are present and those post accomplish higher level of interactive communication (regarding number of likes) among those followers. The key actors of UNHCR's Instagram posts are children which are being present in majority of post that does not include actors or celebrities.
