Abstract

Engleski jezik jedan je od temeljnih jezika današnjice. Najveći broj govornika koristi se upravo ovim jezikom i to neovisno radi li se o engleskom jeziku kao o materinjem jeziku ili pak o engleskom jeziku kao prvom stranom jeziku govornika. Procesi kao što su globalizacija te unaprjeđenje tehnologija su procesi koji uvelike doprinose širenju engleskoga, a samim time i jezičnim kontaktima među različitim jezicima. Jasno je kako temeljni i najveći utjecaj u tome ima obrazovanje, a važnu ulogu imaju i mediji kao masovno sredstvo komunikacije i prijenosa informacija. Upravo se putem medija i kulturnih proizvoda engleski jezik danas rasprostranjuje. Navedena rasprostranjenost vidi se kroz utjecaj engleskog jezika na jezike primaoce gdje su se anglizmi te pseudoanglizmi toliko ustalili da su postali dijelom jezika, a naročito u masovnim medijima. Cilj ovog rada bio je istražiti na koji način te u kolikoj mjeri su anglizmi zastupljeni na hrvatskim informativnim portalima te koja je njihova temeljna značajka. U navedenu svrhu provedeno je istraživanje četiri najveća hrvatska portala te je uočena učestala pojavnost anglizama.

Abstract (english)

English is one of the basic languages of today. It is precisely the largest number of speakers that speak this language, regardless of whether it is an English language as a native language or an English language as the first foreign language of a speaker. Processes such as globalization and the advancement of technology are processes that have largely resulted in the process of spreading English, and thus language contacts among different languages. Clearly, education and the mass media have a strong influence on communication and information transfer. The English language was spread through the media and cultural products. The prevalence of English is seen through the influence of the English language on the recipient languages where anglicisms and pseudo-anglicisms have so much been constant that they have become part of the language, and in particular in the mass media. The aim of this paper was to explore on what way and in what amount are anglicisms represented in Croatian information portals and what is their fundamental feature. For this purpose, research was conducted on four major Croatian portals and the frequent occurrence of anglicisms was observed.
