Abstract

Ovaj rad bavi se analizom kolumni Jelene Veljače na portalu jutarnji.hr u razdoblju od 2019.
do 2021. godine, a ukupno je analizirano deset kolumni. Rad je podijeljen u nekoliko tematskih
cjelina. Prvi dio rada posvećen je teorijskom okviru, a obrađuju se pojmovi poput retorike,
kolumne te rodnog diskursa u medijima. U drugom dijelu rada, na temelju primjera iz kolumni,
analiziraju se stilske figure i stil autorice. Analizirana tema vezana je uz pojam rodne
ravnopravnosti, koja nažalost još uvijek nije postignuta u svim društvima pa upravo zbog toga
o njoj valja širiti svijest. Jelena Veljača kao aktivistica često otvara brojna pitanja o rodnoj
ravnopravnosti u društvu te prati aktualna događanja kada je riječ o obiteljskom, rodnom i
ekonomskom nasilju. Također, zahvaljujući svojem celebrity statusu uspjela se istaknuti te u
kratkom roku postati jedna od predvodnica pokreta za zaštitu žena od nasilja u obitelji te sa
svojom inicijativom „Spasi me“ doprinijeti značajnim promjenama.

Abstract (english)

This paper deals with the analysis of Jelena Veljača's columns on the jutarnji.hr portal in the
period from 2019 to 2021, and a total of ten columns were analyzed. The paper is divided into
several thematic units. The first part of the paper is dedicated to the theoretical framework, and
deals with concepts such as rhetoric, column and gender narrative. In the second part of the
paper, based on the examples from the columns, the stylistic figures and the style of the author
are analyzed. The analyzed topic is related to the concept of gender equality, which
unfortunately has not yet been achieved in all societies, which is why it should be discussed.
As an activist, Jelena Veljača often opens numerous questions about gender equality in society
and follows current events when it comes to domestic, gender and economic violence. Also,
with her celebrity status, she managed to stand out and become one of the leaders of the
movement for the protection of women from domestic violence and with her initiative "Spasi
me" contribute to significant changes.
