Abstract

Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je vidjeti koliko su glazbeni streaming servisi popularni u Republici Hrvatskoj i koji postotak građana Republike Hrvatske koristi takve usluge, a koliko njih i dalje koristi radio. Temeljni sadržaj ovog istraživanja su glazbeni streaming servisi, kako u svijetu, tako i u Hrvatskoj, a za istraživanje je korištena metoda ankete. Rezultati istraživanja pokazali su da su glazbeni streaming servisi postali iznimno popularni od trenutka kada su se pojavili na hrvatskom tržištu, međutim ne toliko da bi u potpunosti zamijenili radio i njegovu zabavnu ulogu. Smatram kako će radio u Hrvatskoj i dalje ostati glavni medij za slušanje glazbe, međutim ukoliko se u Hrvatsku uvede digitalizacija radija, a radijske se postaje pritom ne prilagode novim trendovima koje iziskuje takva vrsta tehnologije, tada će glazbeni streaming servisi preuzeti zabavnu ulogu koju zasad još uvijek u hrvatskom društvu ima tradicionalni FM radio.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this research was to establish how popular music streaming services are in the Republic of Croatia and what percentage of citizens of the Republic of Croatia use such services as a primary service for listening to music, as opposed to those who still use the radio. The research focuses primarily on music streaming services, both in the world and in Croatia, and the research was conducted using a poll. The results showed that music streaming services became widely popular from the moment they appeared on the Croatian market, but not completely replacing radio and its role as a source of entertainment. I believe that radio in Croatia will continue to be the main medium for listening to music. However, if radio stations do not adapt and adopt the technology needed to implement the upcoming digitalization, the music streaming services will take over the role of primary entertainment source that the traditional FM radio still holds in Croatia.
