Abstract

Ovaj rad proučava reakcije država Europe nakon terorističkih napada i prijetnji u vremenskom razdoblju od 2014. godine do 2019. godine. Rad se temelji na prikazu onih terorističkih napada koji su u navedenom razdoblju bili izvršeni u državama Europe te se pružaju osnovni podatci i činjenice o izvedenim terorističkim napadima. Nakon što su prikazani teroristički napadi koji su izvršeni i njihova obilježja, slijedi prikaz onih terorističkih napada koje su poneke države Europe uspješno spriječile te se slično kao u prethodnome dijelu prikazuju obilježja i prikupljena saznanja o spriječenim terorističkim napadima. Nakon toga rad prikazuje ulogu sigurnosnih tijela država Europe, ali i ostalih tijela koja imaju ulogu u sprječavanju terorističkih napada i radikalizacije. U ovome dijelu rad ističe ulogu državnih institucija i tijela poput policije i obavještajne zajednice, ali i nekih drugih institucija, poput škola, u procesima otkrivanja radikalizacije, terorističkih aktivnosti i terorističkog planiranja. Posebice se naglasak stavlja na rano otkrivanje radikalizacije i ustanova koje imaju ulogu u otkrivanju navedenoga jer se smatra kako rani oblici radikalizacije mogu utjecati na pojavu izvršavanja raznih vrsta terorističkih napada. Istraživanje je potvrdilo glavnu pretpostavku koja tvrdi kako su države Europe koje su bile najviše izložene terorističkim napadima više bile i angažirane u postupke ranog prepoznavanja terorističkih aktivnosti i radikalizacije jer se pokazalo kako su države koje su pretrpjele terorističke napade maksimalno angažirano djelovale na postupcima ranoga otkrivanja planiranja terorističkih aktivnosti kao i otkrivanja raznih planova za eventualne terorističke napade što je i vidljivo prema broju uhićenja raznih pripadnika terorističkih organizacija u Francuskoj, Njemačkoj, Nizozemskoj i Belgiji, za razliku od država Europe koje se nisu susretale s terorističkim napadima na svojem teritoriju i nisu imale iskustva s terorističkim napadima.

Abstract (english)

This paper examines the situation in European countries after the terrorist attacks and threats in the period from 2014 to 2019. The paper is based on the presentation of those terrorist attacks that were carried out in the countries of Europe in the mentioned period, and provides basic data and facts about the terrorist attacks. After the terrorist attacks that were carried out and their characteristics, the terrorist attacks that were successfully prevented by some European countries are presented, and similarly to the previous part, the characteristics and collected knowledge on prevented terrorist attacks are presented. After that, the paper presents the role of security bodies of European countries, but also other bodies that have a role in preventing terrorist attacks and radicalization. In this part, the paper emphasizes the role of state institutions and bodies such as the police and intelligence community, but also some other institutions such as schools in the processes of detecting radicalization, terrorist activities and terrorist planning. Particular emphasis is placed on the early detection of radicalization and institutions that have a role in the detection of the above, because it is believed that early forms of radicalization can cause the occurrence of various types of terrorist attacks. The study confirmed the main assumption that European countries most exposed to terrorist attacks were more involved in early detection and terroristization, as it showed that countries that suffered terrorist attacks were most involved in early detection procedures. terrorist activities as well as the discovery of various plans for possible terrorist attacks, which is evident from the number of arrests of various members of terrorist organizations in France, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium, unlike European countries that have not encountered terrorist attacks on their territory and had no experience with terrorist attacks.
