Abstract

Turizam je jedna od najvažnijih gospodarskih grana za Republiku Hrvatsku, a grad Dubrovnik ima veliku ulogu u tom području. Cilj ovog rada je dati pregled na koji način je Dubrovnik stekao svoj imidž i kakav je on danas. U radu su objašnjeni ključni pojmovi važni za razumijevanje imidža i procesa stvaranja imidža. Analizirani su čimbenici koji utječu na formiranje imidža turističke destinacije. Napravljen je pregled turističke ponude Dubrovnika i sadržaja koji se mogu pronaći u gradu. Također, na temelju provedenog istraživanja, koje uključuje analizu sadržaja stranih blogova te intervju s Turističkom zajednicom grada Dubrovnika, donijeli smo zaključak kakav imidž uživa grad Dubrovnik kao turistička destinacija.

Abstract (english)

Tourism is one of the most important economic branches for the Republic of Croatia and the city of Dubrovnik has a great role in this area. The aim of this paper is to give an overview how Dubrovnik gained its image and how it looks today. The paper explains the key concepts important for understanding the image and the process of image creation. Factors influencing the formation of the image of a tourist destination are analyzed. An overview of the tourist offer of Dubrovnik and the contents that can be found in the city has been made. Also, based on the research, which includes an analysis of the content of foreign blogs and an interview with the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, we concluded what kind of image of the city of Dubrovnik enjoys as a tourist destination.
