Medijski okviri o obnovi nakon Domovinskog rata i nakon potresa u Hrvatskoj 2020. godine

Abstract

Domovinski rat (1991.-1995.) je iza sebe ostavio ogromne materijalne štete što je obilježilo gospodarski, ali i socijalni razvoj Republike Hrvatske. Priče o obnovi nakon rata ponovno su se vratile u medijski fokus nakon razornih potresa 2020. godine na području Zagreba, Zagrebačke, Krapinsko-zagorske i Sisačko-moslavačke županije. Mediji i javnost isticali su navodno nekvalitetnu obnovu i izgradnju obiteljskih kuća uništenih tijekom Domovinskog rata, što je prema medijskim natpisima utjecalo na njihovu otpornost na potrese. Građane Zagreba i šireg zagrebačkog područja u nedjelju, 22. ožujka 2020. godine, pogodio je snažan potres magnitude 5.5 po Richteru, a 29. prosinca 2020. godine, potres magnitude 6.2 po Richteru pogodio je Sisačko-moslavačku županiju. Polazeći od teorije uokvirivanja, cilj ovog rada bio je istražiti kako je Večernji list prikazivao obnovu Hrvatske nakon Domovinskog rata i nakon potresa 2020. godine. Dolazi se do zaključka da je Večernji list obnovu od potresa prikazivao u negativnijem kontekstu od obnove nakon Domovinskog rata. Više je senzacionalističkih naslova tijekom obnove od potresa, u većem broju naslova kritizira se vlast ili institucije tijekom obnove od potresa te na naslovnicama nakon potresa ima puno veći broj fotografija.

Abstract (english)

Croatian war for independence (1991-1995) left behind a huge material damage, which marked the development of Croatia not only economically but socially as well. The news stories about rebuilding after war came back in media focus in 2020 after devastating earthquakes in Zagreb, Krapinsko-zagorska and Sisačko-moslavačka county. The media and the public drew attention to an allegedly inadequate and unprofessional rebuilding of family homes destroyed during the war, which, as was claimed, made them less resistant to earthquakes. Zagreb and wider Zagreb area was hit by a strong earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale on Sunday, 22nd of March 2020. On December 29th, 2020, another earthquake hit, this time Sisačko-moslavačka county and the intensity was 6.2 magnitude scale Richter. Drawing on the framing theory, the main goal of this article was to research how did the newspaper ''Večernji list'' frame rebuilding of Croatia after war and after the earthquakes. Results showed that “Večernji list” reported on the subject of rebuilding after the earthquake much more negatively than rebuilding after the war, with more sensationalist headlines, and more criticism towards the goverment and institutions, and with more of visual depictions of damaged properties on the front pages.
