Abstract

Gradovi 21. stoljeća obilježeni su rastućom urbanizacijom i digitalnom revolucijom koje prati problem održivog razvoja. Kako bi prevladali probleme urbanizacije, gradovi razvijaju pametna rješenja koja podrazumijevaju korištenje ICT tehnologije kako bi se poboljšala kvaliteta života u gradovima. Problem ovog rada odnosi se na analizu gradova u Republici Hrvatskoj i njihovim kapacitetima za korištenje financijskih potpora Europske Unije u svrhu implementacije pametnih inicijativa pri čemu se nastoji utvrditi da li hrvatski gradovi promišljaju o različitim pametnim rješenjima, koje su karakteristike hrvatskih pametnih gradova te koliko Europska unija doprinosi razvoju pametnih gradova u Republici Hrvatskoj.

Abstract (english)

Cities of the 21st century are characterized by increasing urbanization and the digital revolution, which is accompanied by the issue of sustainable development. In order to overcome the problems of urbanization, cities are developing smart solutions that involve the use of ICT technology to improve the quality of life in cities. The focus of this work is to analyze cities in the Republic of Croatia and their capacities to use European Union financial support for the implementation of smart initiatives, while attempting to determine whether Croatian cities are considering various smart solutions, what are the characteristics of Croatian smart cities, and how much the European Union contributes to the development of smart cities in the Republic of Croatia.
