Abstract

U radu se analizira hrvatska vanjska politika kroz djelovanje predsjednika Republike kao sukreatora vanjske politike uz Vladu. Cilj je rada smjestiti djelovanje predsjednika u teorijski okvir o javnoj, sportskoj i/ili gospodarskoj diplomaciji promatrajući broj, ali i tematiku službenih putovanja predsjednika u druge države. Paralelno se uspoređuje sukladnost predsjedničkog djelovanja sa Strateškim planom MVEP-a kako bi se ispitala suradnja i poštivanje Ustava. Zaključak je kako hrvatski predsjednici razvijaju osobni diplomatski stil najviše se koristeći javnom diplomacijom, a pri tom su izabrali regiju na koju se primarno fokusiraju.

Abstract (english)

The paper analyzes Croatian foreign policy through the actions of the President of the Republic as a co-creator of foreign policy alongside the Government. The aim of the paper is to place the president's activities in the theoretical framework of public, sports and/or economic diplomacy, observing the number and the topic of the president's official trips to other countries. In parallel, the compatibility of the presidential activity with the Strategic Plan of the MVEP is compared in order to examine cooperation and respect for the Constitution. The conclusion is that Croatian presidents develop a personal diplomatic style, mostly using public diplomacy, and they have chosen the region on which they primarily focus.
