Abstract

Većina turističkih destinacija teži stvaranju jedinstvenog imidža kako bi se izdvojile iz mase. Ključ za postizanje ovog cilja leži u korištenju i poticanju različitih oblika kreativnih industrija, pa tako i filmske industrije. Države koriste film kao sredstvo vlastite promocije na različite načine, ali najčešći oblik je korištenje određenih lokacija za snimanje što najviše pridonosi skretanju pozornosti na prirodne ljepote, kulturne znamenitosti i druge specifičnosti pojedine države. Primjeri promoviranja Novog Zelanda putem filma „Gospodar prstenova“ ili Velike Britanije kroz „Harry Potter“ ilustriraju uspjeh filmskog turizma. Hrvatska je doživjela procvat filmskog turizma nakon snimanja serije „Igre prijestolja“ koja je Dubrovnik pretvorila u jednu od najpoznatijih svjetskih filmskih destinacija te dovela do značajnog porasta broja posjetitelja i prihoda. U ovom radu donosi se teorijski pregled o filmskom turizmu kao i pregled uspješnih promocija putem filmske industrije na stranim, ali domaćim primjerima. Anketni dio istraživanja približava stav i motivaciju Z generacije za putovanje na filmske destinacije te ispituje njihovo znanje o filmovima inozemne i domaće produkcije snimanih u Hrvatskoj. Rad zaključuje da Hrvatska, unatoč nekoliko uspješnih primjera posljednjih godina, ima prostora za napredak u privlačenju međunarodnih produkcija i daljnjem razvoju filmskog turizma što kasnije rezultira pozitivnom promocijom i povećanjem broja posjetitelja.

Abstract (english)

Most tourist destinations aim to create a unique image to stand out. Utilizing various forms of creative industries, including film, is critical to achieving this goal. Countries use films for self-promotion, often by showcasing specific filming locations, which highlight natural beauty, cultural landmarks, and other unique aspects. Examples like New Zealand's promotion through "The Lord of the Rings" or the UK's association with "Harry Potter" demonstrate the success of film tourism. Croatia experienced a boom in film tourism after the "Game of Thrones" series, transforming Dubrovnik into a renowned film destination, leading to a significant increase in visitors and revenue. This study provides a theoretical overview of film tourism and successful promotional strategies using domestic and international examples, surveys the attitudes and motivations of the Z generation towards traveling to film destinations, and tests their knowledge of foreign and domestic films shot in Croatia. The study concludes that despite some recent successes, Croatia has room for improvement in attracting international productions and further developing film tourism, resulting in positive promotion and increased visitor numbers.
