Abstract

Podcast je na medijsku scenu stigao ranih 2000-ih a od tad samo bilježi rast i sve veći broj slušatelja i gledatelja. Ovaj rad istražuje studentsku populaciju koja voli i konzumira podcast, a cilj je razumjeti njihove motive za praćenje tih medijskih sadržaja. Kroz teorijsku analizu i provedeno anketno istraživanje ovaj rad nastoji prikazati složenu dinamiku između podcasta i njegove publike. Poseban fokus stavlja se na teoriju o upotrebi medija radi zadovoljavanja potreba koja nam pomaže da pojasnimo očekivanja koja publika ima i što zapravo dobiva od podcasta.

Abstract (english)

Podcast arrived on the media scene in the early 2000s, and since then it has only recorded growth and an ever-increasing number of listeners and viewers. This paper investigates the student population that likes and consumes podcasts, and the goal is to understand their motivations for following this content. This paper seeks to show the complex dynamics between a podcast and its audience through theoretical analysis and survey research. A special focus is placed on uses and gratifications theory, which helps us clarify the audience's expectations and what they get from podcasts.
