Abstract

U radu će se provoditi analiza na koji način tradicionalističke vrijednosti europskog društva, s
posebnim naglaskom na Sloveniju i Hrvatsku, utječu na političku participaciju žena. Istražit
će se politička participaciju žena od lokalnog pa sve do nacionalnog i nadnacionalnog nivoakao
što je Europski parlament.
Tumačenje patrijarhalnih stavova o ženi kao odgajateljici i roditeljici dovest će se u korelaciju
s marginalizacijom žena, razvijenošću njihove društvene mreže, a sve to sa smanjenim i
suženim samopouzdanjem žena što ih sputava da se društveno aktiviraju.
U radu će biti obuhvaćeno dvadesetogodišnje razdoblje političke participacije žena u Sloveniji
i Hrvatskoj. No, uzet će se u obzir povijesni kontekst koji je bio na snazi prije osamostaljenja
dviju država. Stavit će se naglasak na vrijeme nakon Prvog svjetskog rata pa sve do
konsolidacije socijalističkog sustava unutar SFRJ kao uvod u samu problematiku koja je
središnja tema rada.
Obuhvatit će se zakonodavni okvir koji se odnosi na politike rodne ravnopravnosti i političku
participaciju žena. Istražit će se zastupljenost žena u političkim tijelima odlučivanja Slovenije
i Hrvatske od 1990. do 2010. te koji su zakonodavni mehanizmi i instrumenti implementirani
u sustav da politička participacija žena bude moguća.

Abstract (english)

The work will be carried out analysis on how traditionalist values of European society, with
special emphasis on Slovenia and Croatia, affect the political participation of women. They
will investigate the political participation of women from the local to the national and
supranational levels-such as the European Parliament.
Interpretation of patriarchal system of values about a woman as educator and parent will bring
in correlation with the marginalization of women, the level of development of their social
networks, and all this with reduced and narrowed confidence of women as binding them to be
socially active.
The work will include twenty period of political participation of women in Slovenia and
Croatia. Shall be taken period of consideration the historical context that was in force before
the independence of the two countries. Emphasis is on time after the First World War until the
consolidation of the socialist system within Yugoslavia as an introduction into the issue of
which is the central theme of the work.
Paper will cover the legal framework relating to gender mainstreaming and women's political
participation. This is research of representation of women in political decision-making bodies
of Slovenia and Croatian from 1990 to 2010 and analysis of legislative mechanisms and
instruments implemented in the system that political participation of women make it possible.
