Abstract

Ovaj rad bavi se temom nuklearnog naoružanja i njegovog utjecaja na međunarodne odnose. U uvodnom dijelu rada govori se o razvoju strategije kao koncepta upravljanja politikom neke države. Glavni dio rada opisuje neke od vodečih straegija Hladnog rata poput politike zadržavanja, strategije masovne odmazde i uzajamnog sigurnog uništenje. U nastavku rada daje se kratka analiza Francuske i Sjeverne Koreje kao dviju nuklearnih sila. Teza ovog rada je kako i u današnje vrijeme vrijedi realističko gledanje na međunarodne odnose gdje svaka država želi opstati i povećati svoju moć kako bi što lakše utjecala na promjene u međunarodnim odnosima.

Abstract (english)

This paper deals with the topic of nuclear weapons and its impact on international relations. First part of the paper is talking about the development of strategy as a concept of policy-making of a state. The main part of the paper is describing some of the leading Cold War strategies such as containment strategy, mass retaliation strategy, and mutually assured destruction. In the next part of the paper, there is a brief analysis of France and North Korea as a nuclear powers. The main thesis of the paper is that even today realistic perspective on international relations works, where every state wants to survive and increase their power for purpose of changing international relation.
