Abstract

Autor smatra da pitanja državnosti i suverenosti s obzirom na međunarodno priznanje još nisu koncizno odgovorena od strane dosadašnjih istraživanja nacionalnih država primijenjenih u konkretnim studijama zemalja u komparativnoj politici kao imanentno „unutarnjoj“ politici. Kroz binarnu komparaciju kosovske i sjevernociparske državnosti, od kojih prva počiva na konceptu prava, a druga prinude, ustvrđuje da je, zbog relativno brzo postignutog međunarodnog priznanja kao najvažnijeg kriterija državnosti koji je za to neophodan, kosovska državnost ona koja je „prava“, a sjevernociparska je pseudodržavnost. U skladu s tim, Kosovo je suverena država, a Sjeverni Cipar samoproglašeni entitet. Zaključno, potencijalno rješenje za sjevernociparsku pseudodržavnost u svjetlu nedovršene europske integracije zemalja Jugoistočne Europe u kontinuiranom procesu geopolitičke konsolidacije krije se u turskom ulasku u EU kao zajednici ravnopravnih država zasnovanoj na podlozi prava na kojoj nikako ne može stajati turska prinuda na ciparski otok. Međutim, zbog veoma malih šansi da se spomenuto realizira, sjevernociparski će slučaj ostati status quo.

Abstract (english)

The author considers that issues of nationality and sovereignty with regard to international recognition have not yet been concisely answered by the recent national research studies applied in concrete studies of countries in comparative politics as an immanent "inward" politics. Through the binary comparison of Kosovo and Northern Cyprus statehood, the first of which rests on the concept of law and the other constraints, it states that, because of relatively fast international recognition as the most important criterion of statehood, which is indispensable, Kosovo's statehood is "right" Northern Cyprus is pseudo-state. Accordingly, Kosovo is a sovereign state, and Northern Cyprus is a self-proclaimed entity. To conclude, a potential solution for the Northern Cyprus' statehood in the light of the unfinished European integration of Southeast European countries in the ongoing process of geopolitical consolidation lies in Turkish accession to the EU as a community of equitable states based on a law that cannot possibly stand Turkish invasion on the Cypriot island. However, due to the very small chances of achieving this, the Northern Cyprus case will remain the status quo.
