Abstract

Međunarodni uspjeh hrvatskog filma glavni je cilj istraživanja ovog diplomskog rada. Naglasak u istraživanju stavljen je na financiranje i produkciju te elemente koji su usko povezani sa ta dva pojma. Istraživanje je provedeno metodom dubinskog intervjua u razdoblju od svibnja do lipnja 2017. godine, a ispitanici su bili hrvatski redatelji i redateljice koji su osvojili međunarodnu filmsku nagradu za režiju ili najbolji film. Hrvatski dugometražni igrani film trenutno je u prosjeku europskog filma, a problemi s kojima je suočen su manjak tržišta, veličina zemlje i nedostatna financijska sredstva. Kao temelj razvoja filma navedeni su Hrvatski audiovizualni centar te Hrvatska radio televizija kao javni medijski servis. Hrvatski film nije lukrativna djelatnost, ali on to niti ne treba biti jer je kulturno dobro jedne nacije.
Istraživanje je zabilježilo aktualnu situaciju u 2016. godini i prikazalo trenutnu situaciju hrvatskog dugometražnog igranog filma. Trenutna situacija je zanimljiva za istraživanje zbog svih poteškoća s kojima se Hrvatski audiovizualni centar u ovoj godini sukobljava. U budućim raspravama biti će zanimljivo vidjeti u kojem će smjeru nastaviti hrvatski dugometražni igrani film, u odnosu na situaciju u sadašnjem vremenu.

Abstract (english)

The international success of Croatian film was the main purpose of the graduate thesis. The emphasis of the research was concentrated on the financing and production elements, which are closely bound together. Furthermore, the research was conducted by the method of interview in the time period from May to June 2017. My respondents for these interviews were Croatian film directors that have won the international film award and best film award. Croatian feature-length film currently is the nominal of a European film standard, but faces problems such as a lack of market place, the size of the country and underfinanced budget. The basis for the development of the film is the Croatian Audiovisual Center and Croatian Radio Television as a public media service. Croatian film is not a lucrative endevour, yet it does not need to be since it is a cultural benefit of our nation, for the future generations.
The research noted the current situation in 2016. and showed the current situation of Croatian feature film. The current situation is interesting to explore because of all the difficulties that the Croatian Audiovisual Center is facing this year. In future discussions, it will be interesting to see in which direction the Croatian feature film will continue in relation to the current situation.
