Abstract

Kvalitativno istraživanje utjecaja društvenih mreža na aktivizam ženskog nevladinog sektora, njihovih prednosti i nedostataka, ciljanih publika, odnosa između online i offline aktivizma i predviđanja budućnosti aktivizma na društvenim mrežama, ukazuje na razne promjene koje su došle s napretkom tehnologije. Najčešća društvena mreža koju upotrebljavaju ženske nevladine organizacije je Facebook, a puno rjeđe koriste Instagram, YouTube i/ili Twitter. Aktivistkinje i aktivisti putem Facebooka imaju mogućnost na brži, jednostavniji, efikasniji i besplatan način dijeliti svoje poruke s različitim javnostima, pozivati na događaje i slično. Ipak, često ostaju zatvoreni unutar istog kruga ljudi koji koriste isti komplicirani, akademski diskurs, što im otežava širenje ideja širim masama. Publika kojoj se najčešće obraćaju na društvenim mrežama su mlade žene, iako većinom ciljaju na sve koji su zainteresirani. Njihovu publiku u najvećoj mjeri čine žene, starosti od 25 do 40 godina, koje imaju viši stupanj obrazovanja. Smatraju da se one lakše mogu poistovjetiti sa ženskim temama, temama koje se tiču ravnopravnosti žena, nasilja nad ženama, ženske seksualnosti i slično. Također, online i offline aktivizam su povezani, ali ono što je online najčešće tamo i ostaje, što je problem društvenih mreža i aktivizma, ali i izazov, jer je potrebno smisliti kako ljude izvući na ulicu. Aktivisti i aktivistkinje koji su sudjelovali u istraživanju brinu se zbog širenja konzervativne struje u Hrvatskoj, pa samim time i za budućnost ženskog aktivizma koji će iznova biti stavljen na kušnju i bit će prisiljen boriti se za prava koja su već stečena.

Abstract (english)

Qualitative research into the influence of social media on women's NGO activism, their advantages and disadvantages, target audiences, the relationship between online and offline activism, and predicting the future of activism on social media, points to the various changes that have come with the advancement of technology. The most common social networking service used by women's non-governmental organizations is Facebook. Less often they use Instagram, YouTube and/or Twitter. With Facebook, activists have the option of faster, simpler, more effective and free sharing of their messages with different people, organizing events, and so on. Still, they often remain closed within the same circle of people who use the same complicated, academic discourse, making it difficult for them to spread their ideas to wider masses. The audience they aim to reach on social media are young women and mostly everybody who is interested. The majority of their actual audience are women, aged 25 to 40, who have a higher level of education. They find that women can identify easily with women's themes, topics related to women's equality, violence against women, women's sexuality, and so on. Moreover, online and offline activisms are linked, but what's online almost always remains online, which is a problem, but also a challenge that activism on social media faces. Activists participating in the research are concerned with the conservative currents in Croatia and the future of women's activism, which will once again face challenges. They fear that they will be forced to fight for the rights that have already been acquired.
