Abstract

U veljači 2020. godine u Hrvatskoj se pojavio koronavirus koji ubrzo postao glavna tema u medijima. Tada se formirao Nacionalni stožer civilne zaštite koji je svakodnevno izvještavao građane o broju novozaraženih, preminulih i onih koji su virus preboljeli. Vili Beroš, Alemka Markotić, Krunoslav Capak i Davor Božinović svaki su dan na konferencijama za novinare izvještavali o aktualnoj situaciji. Konferencije za novinare prenosile su se i na news portalima, odakle su građani također mogli dobivati informacije. Cilj ovog rada bio je ispitati kako je Nacionalni stožer civilne zaštite prikazan na hrvatskim news portalima u razdoblju prvog lockdowna koji je uslijedio nakon porasta broja zaraženih koronavirusom. Stožer je tada imao važnu ulogu jer je građane pozivao na odgovornost i poštivanje mjera. Dolazi se do zaključka da su hrvatski news portali favorizirali Nacionalni stožer civilne zaštite u navedenom periodu, koji je ulijevao povjerenje da će svojim radom suzbiti pandemiju.

Abstract (english)

In February 2020 Coronavirus appeared in Croatia and soon became the main topic in the media. At that time the National Committee of Civil Protection, which reported to the citizens on a daily basis about the number of newly infected, deceased and those who survived the virus. Vili Beroš, Alemka Markotić, Krunoslav Capak and Davor Božinović reported on the current situation at press conferences. They were transmitted on news portals, from where citizens could also get information. The aim of this study was to examine how the National Committee of Civil Protection was shown on Croatian portals in the period of the first lockdown that followed the increase in the number of Coronaviruses acquired. The headquarters then played an important role as they called on citizens to account and deliver measures. It is concluded that Croatian news portals favored the National Committee of Civil Protection in that period, which instilled confidence that with its work would suppress the pandemic.
