Abstract

S obzirom na mali broj postojećih istraživanja koja se odnose na mišljenja javnosti o institucijama EU-a u Hrvatskoj, ovim se radom analizira percepcija, znanje i informiranost hrvatskih građana o europskim političkim strankama i političkim skupinama u Europskom parlamentu. Istraživanjem se nastoji pružiti doprinos europskim istraživanjima kako bi se pokušalo shvatiti na koji način demos Europske unije gleda na samu Uniju. Istražuje se općenito shvaćanje i znanje građana o temeljnim pojmovima vezanim uz eurostranke koji će u teorijskom dijelu rada biti detaljnije objašnjeni. Istraživačko pitanje rada je „Kakva je percepcija i znanje građana Hrvatske o europskim političkim strankama?“, a u radu se ispituje teza imaju li građani interesa i posjeduju li zavidno znanje o istima. Navedena teza je ispitana analizom podataka o izlaznosti hrvatskih građana na europske parlamentarne izbore te provođenjem ankete na razini Hrvatske, a na temelju rezultata ankete može se zaključiti da građani nemaju interesa ni zavidnog znanja o istima s time da bi se njihov odnos prema eurostrankama mogao opisati i kao - ravnodušan.

Abstract (english)

Given the small number of existing studies related to public opinion on EU institutions in Croatia, this paper analyzes the perception, knowledge and information of Croatian citizens about European political parties and political groups in the European Parliament. The research seeks to contribute to European research in order to try to understand how the demos of the European Union view the Union itself. It is examined the general understanding and knowledge of citizens about the basic concepts related to the Europarties, which will be explained in more detail in the theoretical part of the paper. The research question of this paper is "What is the perception and knowledge of Croatian citizens about European political parties?", and the paper examines the thesis whether citizens have an interest and whether they have an enviable knowledge about them. This thesis was examined by analyzing data on the turnout of Croatian citizens in European parliamentary elections and conducting a survey at the Croatian level, and based on the results of the survey it can be concluded that citizens have no interest or enviable knowledge about them, with their attitude towards Europarties as indifferent.
