Abstract

Ovaj diplomski rad proučava hiperseksualne obrasce kod tinejdžera i druge čimbenike povezane sa seksualizacijom koji se pojavljuju u serijama Netflixove originalne produkcije. Cilj ovog istraživanja jest uočiti obrasce hiperseksualizacije i druge društveno-kulturne čimbenike koji se pojavljuju u trima serijama tinejdžerske tematike. Također, cilj je ukazati na sličnosti i razlike u hiperseksualizaciji tinejdžerki i tinejdžera te sličnosti i razlike u hiperseksualizaciji u serijama nastalim u različitim državama. Istraživanje sam provela koristeći analizu narativa. Analizom scena iz po dvije sezone iz tri različite serije, utvrdila sam pojavu seksualizacije, objektivizacije i pornografizacije kao hiperseksualnih obrazaca te između ostalih, stereotipno seksualno ponašanje kao najbitniji društveno-kulturni čimbenik koji je povezan s istima. Također, utvrdila sam da postoje razlike u hiperseksualizaciji tinejdžera i tinejdžerki u svakoj pojedinoj seriji koje su uglavnom vezane uz rodne stereotipe te da su razlike u hiperseksualizaciji u serijama iz različitih država uglavnom usko vezane uz tematiku kojom se serija bavi.

Abstract (english)

This master thesis examines hypersexual patterns that occur in teenage behavior and other factors related to sexualization that appear in Netflix original series. The aim of this research is to identify patterns of hyper sexualization, and other socio-cultural factors related to it which appear in three different teenage series. Also, the goal is to point out the similarities and differences in the hyper sexualization of both teenage girls and boys and the similarities and differences in hyper sexualization in series created in different countries. The research was conducted using narrative analysis. By analyzing scenes from two seasons from three different series, I identified the emergence of sexualization, objectification and pornographization as hypersexual patterns and, among others, stereotypical sexual behavior as the most important socio-cultural factor associated with them. Also, I found that there are differences in the hyper sexualization of teenagers in each series that are mostly related to gender stereotypes and that the differences in hyper sexualization in series made in different countries are mostly closely related to the topic of the series.
