Abstract

Liga je kao politički akter prisutna na talijanskoj političkoj pozornici preko triju desetljeća. Dok je sama ideja stvaranja pokreta obilježena niti vodiljom posebnosti sjevernih talijanskih pokrajina te iskorištavanju uvriježenih socijalnih rascjepa unutar države, posljednje su godine obilježene retoričkim i nominalnim zaokretom. Prvi je puta jedna regionalistička stranka uspjela distribuirati podršku i na širu, nacionalnu razinu, što je svakako čini raritetnom u europskim okvirima te stoga važnom za promatranjem u kontekstu regionalizma i povezanih ishoda. Cilj ovoga diplomskog rada jest uvidjeti je li transformacija, osim nominalnog i retoričkog obuhvatila i sadržajni aspekt, odgovarajući na pitanje: U kojoj je mjeri promjena profila stranačkog vodstva od Umberta Bossija do Mattea Salvinija utjecala na transformaciju Lige? Isto će biti razmatrano uspoređivanjem parlamentarnih izbornih programa za mandata dvaju predvodnika, a konzultiranjem odgovarajućih varijabli te izvođenjem kompozitnog indeksa Ligi karakterističnih politika pomoću Manifesto project baze.

Abstract (english)

Over three decades have passed since the League first emerged as a political actor in Italy. Although the early movement was guided by the peculiarities of northern Italian provinces and exploited entrenched social divisions within the country, the last years have been marked by a rhetorical and nominal turn. For the first time, a regionalist party managed to distribute support on a broader national level. This certainly makes it a rarity in the European context and therefore significant to observe in the context of regionalism and related outcomes. This thesis examines whether the transformation included a substantive change, in addition to the nominal and rhetorical ones. This answers the question of to what extent the change in the profile of the party leadership from Umberto Bossi to Matteo Salvini influenced the transformation of the League. Similarly, the same will be considered by comparing the parliamentary election programs of the two leaders, consulting the corresponding variables, and constructing a composite index of characteristic policies using the Manifesto Project base.
