Abstract

Prije Prvog svjetskog rata Kurdistan je bio podijeljen između Perzijskog Carstva i uglavnom Osmanskog Carstva. No nakon Prvog svjetskog rata, Kurdistan se našao podijeljen između četiri različite države koje postaju središte kurdskog problema. Turska, Irak, Iran i Sirija spajaju se na Bliskom istoku, a 25 do 30 milijuna Kurda čini najveću naciju na svijetu bez vlastite neovisne države. Cilj ovog diplomskog rada je predstaviti kurdsko pitanje kroz Tursku, Irak, Iran i Siriju u razdoblju od Prvog svjetskog rata do danas te razumjeti razlike u odgovorima na kurdsko pitanje, od države do države; ono što se događa u jednoj od navedenih država prelijeva se i u druge. Različit stav država prema Kurdima dodatno je zakompliciralo već svakako kompleksno kurdsko pitanje. Istovremeno je borba kurdskog naroda za autonomiju predstavila različita rješenja kurdskog pitanja od strane samih Kurda. Kroz usporedbu odnosa Kurda i država u kojima žive vidjet ćemo u kojoj mjeri je postignuta autonomija kurdskog naroda.

Abstract (english)

Before First World War, Kurdistan was divided between the Persian Empire and mostly the Ottoman Empire. But after the First World War, Kurdistan found itself divided between four different states that became the center of the Kurdish problem. Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Syria merge in the Middle East, and 25 to 30 million Kurds became the largest nation in the world without an independent state of their own. The aim of this thesis is to present the Kurdish question through Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Syria in the period from the First World War until today and to understand the differences in the answers to the Kurdish question, from country to country; what happens in one of the mentioned countries spills over into others. The different attitude of the states towards the Kurds further complicated the already complex Kurdish issue. At the same time, the Kurdish people's struggle for autonomy presented different solutions to the Kurdish question by the Kurds themselves. By comparing the relationship between the Kurds and the countries where they live, we will see to what extent the autonomy of the Kurdish people has been achieved.
