Abstract
Ovaj specijalistički rad daje uvid u američku vanjsku politiku tijekom Hladnog rata. Glavna premisa rada jest ta da je SAD kroz cijeli period Hladnog rata djelovao iz razloga uspostavljanja svjetske dominacije kroz implementaciju globalnog kapitalističkog ekonomskog sustava, a ne uspostavljanja sigurnosti i „slobodnog svijeta“. Opisane su američke vanskopolitičke doktrine te je stavljen fokus na period Vijetnamskog rata kao primjer u kojem se pobliže analizira vanjskopolitičko i vojno djelovanje SAD-a.
Abstract (english)
This paper provides insight into American foreign policy during the Cold War. The main premise of the work is that throughout the entire period of the Cold War, the USA acted for the purpose of establishing world domination through the implementation of the global capitalist economic system, and not for the establishment of security and the "free world". American foreign policy doctrines are described and focus is placed on the period of the Vietnam War as an example in which the foreign policy and military activities of the USA are analyzed more closely.
