Abstract

Postoji li utjecaj ideologije na percepciju medijskog teksta? Ovaj nastoji dati odgovor na to istraživačko pitanje, uz intervenciju medijske pismenosti kod pojedinih ispitanika, odnosno dvije grupe u ovom slučaju. U demokraciji, mediji su vrlo važan dio javne komunikacije, međutim, vrlo je teško ostati nepristran u tržišnom medijskom sustavu, a medijska pismenost i dalje nije implementirana u obrazovanje. Istraživanje u ovom radu pokušalo je objasniti percepciju medijskog teksta od strane publika, provjeriti ima li ideologija utjecaja na samu percepciju te pomaže li intervencija medijske pismenosti ispitanicima u promjeni svoje percepcije. Uzorak je činilo 216 ispitanika, a metoda korištena u radu je anketni eksperiment. U inozemstvu su takva istraživanja već provedena, dok u Hrvatskoj ne postoje studije s eksperimentalnim dizajnom na ovu temu. Dobiveni rezultati mogu i trebali bi poslužiti kao povod budućim istraživanjima u proučavanju ne samo percepcije medija u Hrvatskoj i šire, već i ukazati na važnost medijske pismenosti, ali i samog razumijevanja medijskog sustava i onoga što on donosi.

Abstract (english)

Is there an influence of ideology on the perception of the media text? This one tries to give an answer to that research question, with the intervention of media literacy among individual respondents, or two groups in this case. In a democracy, the media is a very important part of public communication, however, it is very difficult to remain impartial in the market media system, and media literacy is still not implemented in education. The research in this paper tried to explain the audience's perception of the media text, check whether ideology has an influence on the perception itself, and whether the media literacy intervention helps respondents to change their perception. The sample consisted of 216 respondents, and the method used in the work was a survey experiment. Such research has already been conducted abroad, while in Croatia there are no studies with an experimental design on this topic. The obtained results can and should serve as a reason for future research in the study of not only the perception of the media in Croatia and beyond, but also indicate the importance of media literacy, but also the understanding of the media system itself and what it brings.
