Abstract

Sport je instrument kojim države grade nacionalni identitet, sklapaju suradnje s drugim državama i grade imidž u svijetu. No, sportska natjecanja okupljaju veliki broj gledatelja i predstavljaju okruženje podobno za ugrožavanje nacionalne sigurnost. Metodologija istraživanja je osobni intervjui koji su provedeni s tri ispitanika, odnosno dva službenika koja koordiniraju sigurnosne mjere i jednim pripadnikom navijačke skupine nad kojim se iste mjere provode. Cilj ovog istraživanja je analiza sigurnosnih mjera u organizaciji sportskih natjecanja. Predmet istraživanja je analiza sigurnosti sportskih natjecanja u Republici Hrvatskoj u razdoblju od 2000. do 2020. godine. Rezultati pokazuju kako nema razlike u osiguranju različitih sportova, a zaključak rada je kako u Hrvatskoj navijači i njihovo ponašanje predstavljaju najveću sigurnosnu prijetnju.

Abstract (english)

Sports are an instrument through which countries build their national identity, establish cooperation with other nations, and shape their image in the world. However, sports competitions attract a large number of spectators and can create an environment conducive to jeopardizing national security. The research methodology employed personal interviews with three participants, namely two officials responsible for coordinating security measures and one member of a fan group on whom these measures are enforced. The aim of this research is to analyze security measures in the organization of sporting events. The subject of the research is the security analysis of sports events in the Republic of Croatia from 2000 to 2020. The results indicate that there is no difference in the security provided for different sports, and the conclusion of the study is that in Croatia, fans and their behavior represents the greatest security threat.
