Abstract

Komunikacijska politika Europske unije građanima EU-a jamči pravo na obaviještenost o europskim pitanjima, a temelji se na transparentnosti te dvosmjernom i ciljanom komuniciranju. U provedbi komunikacijskih aktivnosti Europske unije važnu ulogu imaju Europska komisija i Europski parlament. Učinkovita komunikacija europskih institucija ključna je za informiranje, educiranje i angažiranje građana te osigurava prenošenje poruka ciljanim javnostima kroz različite komunikacijske kanale. S obzirom na to da u komunikaciji EU-a postoje izazovi poput jezičnih barijera, nerazumijevanja njegovih politika i manjka povjerenja građana u europske institucije, potrebno je kontinuirano unaprjeđenje komunikacijske politike i prilagođavanje potrebama građana kako bi se učinkovito prenijele informacije i osnažilo povjerenje građana u Europsku uniju.

Abstract (english)

The European Union’s communication policy guarantees EU citizens the right to be informed about European issues, and it is based on transparency and two-way and targeted communication. The European Commission and the European Parliament both play an important role in the implementation of European Union’s communication activities. Effective communication of European institutions is essential for informing, educating and engaging citizens, and it ensures the transmission of messages to target audience through various communication channels. Considering the existent challenges in the EU’s communication such as language barriers, misunderstanding of its policies and lack of citizens’ trust in European institutions, it is necessary to continuously improve the communication policy and adapt it to the needs of citizens in order to effectively convey information and strengthen citizens' trust in the European Union.
