Abstract

Tema ovoga rada je povijest Televizije Zagreb od 1956. do 1991. godine, s fokusom na emisijama informativnog i mozaičnog karaktera. Postaviti temelje hrvatske televizije nije bilo lako, ali projekt je 15. svibnja 1956. zaživio zahvaljujući naporima i entuzijazmu pojedinaca, ponajprije djelatnika Radija Zagreb. Televizija Zagreb isticala se originalnim TV projektima, a njihovi autori su postavili temelje za neke od današnjih emisija. Rad kronološki prati razvoj televizije, prvenstveno programski, ali i tehnološki. Podaci su prikupljani u arhivu Hrvatske radiotelevizije, u mjesečnim i dnevnim tiskovinama, a potkrijepljeni su i svjedočanstvima nekih od televizijskih djelatnika. Rad nastoji pokazati kako je Televizija Zagreb, unatoč nedostatku financijske potpore i tehnologije, postepeno proizvodila sve više visokogledanih i kvalitetnih emisija. Mnoge od njih poslužile su kao predložak za proizvodnju emisija drugim televizijskim studijima u tadašnjoj Jugoslaviji. Isto tako, rad daje uvid u položaj Televizije Zagreb u okviru zajedničkog sustava JRT i njezino postupno osamostaljivanje od tog jedinstvenog televizijskog sustava.

Abstract (english)

The topic of this paper is the history of Television Zagreb from 1956 until 1991, with focus on news and mosaic television program. Creating foundation of Croatian television was not in the least easy, but the project did come to life on May 15th thanking to the efforts and enthusiasm of individuals, notably employees of Radio Zagreb. Television Zagreb stood out with original TV projects, and their authors set the foundations for some of today’s TV shows. The paper traces, chronologically, the development of the Television, primarily focusing on the programme, but the technology as well. The data are gathered mostly from the archive of Croatian Radio Television, from monthly and daily newspapers, and also are supported by testimonies of Television employees. The aim of the paper is to present how Television Zagreb, despite the deficiency of financial support and technology, gradually produced more and more high ranking and quality TV shows. Many of them became the template for the production of TV shows in other TV studios in former Yugoslavia. Also, the paper shows the position of Television Zagreb within the mutual Yugoslav Radio Television, followed by its gradual evolution into an independent television system.
