Abstract

Širenjem mreža diplomatskih predstavništava povećava se broj osoba koje u njima rade. Takve osobe štićene su međunarodnim diplomatskim pravom i uživaju diplomatske imunitete i privilegije. Zbog mnogobrojnih zloupotreba povlastica koje uživaju, javila se potreba za detaljnijim proučavanjem tog problem. Kroz analizu Bečke konvencije o diplomatskim odnosima iz 1961. godine i konkretne slučajeve zloupotreba diplomatskih imuniteta, izvedeno je nekoliko zaključaka. Potrebno je ukloniti uzroke zloupotreba ali i povreda imuniteta. Jačanje svijesti država, edukacija policijskih službenika, veći nadzor i bolja komunikacija diplomatskih predstavništva i zemlje šiljateljice samo su neka od mogućih rješenja problematike kojm se ovaj rad bavi.

Abstract (english)

SUMMARY
By expanding the network of diplomatic missions the number of people working in diplomacy is increasing. Such persons are protected by international diplomatic law and they enjoy diplomatic immunity and privileges. Because of the many abuses of privileges they have, there is a need for more detailed study of this problem. Through analysis of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961 and specific cases of abuse of diplomatic immunity, several conclusions have been presented. It is necessary to remove the causes of abuse and injury of immunity. Raising awareness of the countries, training of police officers, more control and better communication between diplomatic missions and sending country are some of the possible solutions to the problem analized in this paper.
