Abstract

Rad govori o ženskoj košarci u Hrvatskoj. U teorijskom dijelu donosi sažeti prikaz razvoja ženske košarke u svijetu i kod nas te neke pokazatelje ukupnog stanja u godini nastanka rada (2017.). Glavni cilj istraživanja bio je utvrditi stavove o aktualnoj situaciji u tom sportu, načinima njegove promidžbe i financiranja te perspektivi. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 11 trenera koji su u sezoni 2016/2017 vodili ženske seniorske ekipe u Prvoj hrvatskoj seniorskoj A1 ligi. Odgovarali su na 33 anketna pitanja. Rezultati su očekivani, ali upravo stoga što su po prvi put sistematično prikupljeni i uspoređeni, daju dobar pregled „igre“ te otvaraju konkretna pitanja o budućnosti ženske košarke u RH.

Buduća istraživanja svakako bi trebala doprinijeti daljnjim analizama motivacije žena za bavljenje sportom te općenito kvalitete tog rada i rezultata. Nedvojbeno je da Republika Hrvatska ima sportskih talenata i potencijala za ostvarenje vrhunskih sportskih rezultata, ali za njihovo je ostvarenje potreban kontinuiran, transparentan i profesionalan rad.

Abstract (english)

This thesis/paper (odluči kaj želiš napisati) talks about female basketball in Croatia. Theoretic part of the paper contains a brief overview of female basketball development both in the world and in Croatia, as well as showing some of the indicators of the overall state of matter in the year when this paper was made (2017.) The main goal of the research was to determine the stance of the current situation in the sport, the way it is being promoted and financed, as well as the prospect of the sport. The research was made on the sample of 11 coaches who have been running female senior teams in the season 2016/2017 in the First Croatian Senior A1 League. They gave their answers to 33 survey questions. Results were expected, but just because they have been systematically collected and compared they provided the good overview of the "game" and opened up some specific questions about the future of female basketball in the Republic of Croatia.
Future research would definitely have to benefit further analysis of the motivation women have when it comes to sports, as well as the general quality of the paper and the research that has been made. Undoubtedly, Croatia has talented athletes and a great deal of potential to achieve great sports results but in order to achieve those goals, all work put into it has to be continuous, transparent and professional.
