Abstract

Svrha rada je istaknuće značaja koncepcija slobode i jednakosti u političkoj teoriji filozofa Jean-Jaquesa Rousseaua. Na početku, razmatranje shvaćanja navedenih pojmova u prijašnjem razdoblju kroz antiku, te zatim modernom razdoblju priprema na bolje razumijevanje istih kroz tekst koji slijedi. U kasnijim poglavljima detaljno se razrađuju dva Rousseauova najbitnija djela “Rasprava o porijeklu i nejednakostima među ljudima” te “Društveni ugovor” te pojmovi slobode i jednakosti unutar njih. Daljnje tumačenje njegove političke teorije daje bolje shvaćanje polazišta danih ideja i misli te njihovih realnih primjena na zajednice današnjice. Kraj rada ponovno verificira Rousseauov utisak na daljnji razvoj filozofije politike, odnosno političke teorije.

Abstract (english)

The purpose of this work is to emphasize the importance of the concepts of liberty and equality in the political theory of philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau. At the beginning, consideration of the notions of the aforementioned concepts in the past periods through the antique times, and then in the modern period, prepares for a better understanding of them through the text that follows. In the later chapters, two Rousseau's most important works "Discussion on the Origin and Inequalities among People" and "Social Contract" are elaborated in detail and also the concepts of liberty and equality within them. Further interpretation of his political theory gives a better understanding of the starting point of his ideas and thoughts and their realistic application to today's communities. The end of the work again verifies Rousseau's impression of further development of the philosophy of politics, political theory.
