Abstract

Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je utvrditi navike studenata novinarstva prilikom informiranja i odabira medija putem kojega će se informirati te naposlijetku vidjeti kakvo je povjerenje u medije trenutno. Dodatno se htjelo provjeriti koriste li se neprofitni mediji i društvene mreže u svrhu informiranja ili je taj dio zapravo zapostavljen. Istraživanje je provedeno pomoću ankete koja se sastojala od 20 pitanja, a provedena je na prigodnom uzorku od 86 ispitanika na Fakultetu političkih znanosti u Zagrebu. Ciljne skupine bile su i žene i muškarci, ali sa prve i treće godine preddiplomskog studija novinarstva te s druge godine diplomskog studija novinarstva. Ukupno je postavljeno pet hipoteza od kojih su po dvije potvrđene i opovrgnute dok je jedan djelomično potvrđena. Na temelju provedenog istraživanja utvrđeno je da ispitanici najčešće koriste Internet (news) portale za informiranje, a da im pritom najmanje vjeruju. Najviše povjerenja imaju u televiziju i tiskane medije. Obzirom da je istraživanje provedeno na prigodnom uzorku rezultati se ne mogu generalizirati na cijelu populaciju studenata novinarstva, ali mogu poslužiti kao smjernica za daljnja istraživanja na ovom području.

Abstract (english)

SUMMARY
The purpose of this research was to establish the habits of journalism students in informing and selecting the media through which they will be informed, and finally to see what confidence the media is currently in. In addition, it was to be checked whether non-profit media and social networks were used for information or that part was actually neglected. The survey was conducted using a questionnaire consisting of 20 questions, and was conducted on a sample of 86 respondents at the Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb. The target groups were both women and men, but from the first and third years of undergraduate journalism studies and the second year of graduate study in journalism. Five hypotheses were put together, two of which were confirmed and denied, while one was partially confirmed. Based on the research conducted, it was found that respondents most frequently use the Internet news portals to obtain the informations but have very little confidence in them. They have the most trust in television and print media. Given that the survey was conducted on a suitable sample, the results can not be generalized to the entire population of journalism students but can serve as a guide for further research in this area.
