Abstract

Glavni cilj ovog diplomskog rada je bio provesti istraživanje koje će dokazati ili opovrgnuti postojanje govora mržnje na Facebook stranici 24 sata. Istraživanje je potvrdilo postojanje govora mržnje u istraženim komentarima na članke Facebook verzije portala 24 sata. Proučeno je 7 različitih članaka, što iznosi sveukupno 1153 komentara.
Današnje, moderno doba u kojem živimo je ispunjeno virtualnošću te je online svijet postao jedna od glavnih esencija čovjekova života. Užurban ritam življenja nas je potaknuo da komunikaciju 'licem-u-lice' zamijenimo internetom i društvenim mrežama koje nam olakšavaju održavanje kontakata s obitelji, prijateljima i suradnicima čineći komunikaciju bržom i jednostavnijom.
Za razliku od tradicionalnih medija, novi mediji sa sobom donose mnoštvo prednosti. Pružaju interaktivnost kojom se brže povezuju osobe jedne s drugima, ali i na razini korisnik-medij te je tako omogućeno i internetsko/građansko novinarstvo.
Društvene mreže osim navedenih pozitivnih karakteristika imaju i negativnosti, a jedna od glavnih je govor mržnje kojeg je potrebno kazneno sankcionirati i nadasve, spriječiti njegovu upotrebu. Problem čini to što ga je teško uopće definirati, a kamo li držati pod nadzorom i kažnjavati.
Potrebno je obratiti više pažnje na govor mržnje oko nas te u budućnosti razviti strože mjere opreza i sankcije za njega.

Abstract (english)

The main purpose od this graduate thesis was to conduct a research that will prove or deny the existence of hatred speech on the Facebook page 24 sata. The research confirmed the existence of hatred speech in explored comments on the Facebook version of the portal 24 sata. There were 7 different articles studied, totaling 1152 comments.
Today's modern era in which we live is filled with virtuality and the online world has become one the main essentials of a human being. The fast- paces rhythm of life has encouraged us to ' face-to-face' communication with the internet and social networks that make it easy to maintain contact with family, friends and associates, making communication quicker and simpler.
Unlike traditional media, the new media brings a lot of advantages. They provide interactivity, which is faster connecting people to others, but at the user- medium level, and so is Internet/ civil journalism enabled.
Social networks besides these positive features also have negativities, and one of the main hatred speech that needs to be remedied is to prevent its use. The problem seems to be difficult to define at all, and whether to keep control and punish it.
We need to pay more attention to the hatred speech around us and in the future to develop more stringent precautions and sanctions for it.
