Abstract

Migracije se smatraju problemom kojim se trebaju pozabaviti vlade, kao i međunarodne organizacije poput Europske unije. Tijekom posljednjih dvadesetak godina mnogi su se političari i znanstvenici smišljali načine kako bi se borili protiv problema migracije na nacionalnoj i međunarodnoj razini. Ovaj rad ima za cilj objasniti da li se migracije počinju promatrati kao sigurnosna prijetnja za EU ili su samo izazov. Rad se fokusira na pitanje migracija u Europsku uniju. Teorija sigurnosti Europske unije korištena je za ispitivanje procesa je li pitanje migracija postalo viđeno kao prijetnja europskim državama članicama. U ovom radu su korištene metode studije slučaja kako bi se analizirao proces sigurnosnih pitanja i migracije u EU i potkrijepili argumenti službenim političkim podacima.

Abstract (english)

Migration is seen as a problem that needs to be addressed by governments as well as international organizations such as the European Union. Over the last twenty years, many politicians and scientists have been devising ways to cope with the problem of migration at the national and international level. This paper aims to explain whether migration is starting to be seen as a security threat to the EU or just a challenge. The paper focuses on the issue of migration towards the European Union. The European Union's security theory has been used to examine the process of whether the issue of migration has become seen as a threat to European member states. In this paper, case study methods were used to analyze the process of security issues and migration in the EU and to substantiate the arguments with official political data.
