Abstract

Rad istražuje kako se grad Zagreb reprezentira u chick-lit romanima domaćih autorica. Kroz metodologiju analize narativa reprezentacija grada Zagreba iščitava se iz dvije zbirke kolumni i jednog romana: Opsjednuta Rujane Jeger, Tatine curice Jelene Veljače i Odakle da počnem Maje Milčec. Analizom narativa u kojem autorice opisuju događaje iz privatnog života, sjećanja na duh vremena Zagreba u njihovoj mladosti, grad kao nositelj njihovog identiteta, prostorni prikaz ulica i kafića pokazujem da žanr hrvatske chick-lit književnosti predstavlja važnost u hrvatskoj popularnoj kulturi, a nedostatak znanstvene građe na hrvatskom jeziku označava da je tema chick-lit književnosti još uvijek nedovoljno kritički obrađena u Hrvatskoj.

Abstract (english)

The goal of this paper is to research how the city of Zagreb is represented in Croatian chick-lit novels. Through the method of analyzing narratives the city of Zagreb is represented in two collections of columns and one novel: Obsessed by Rujana Jeger, Daddy's Girls by Jelena Veljača, and Where Do I Start by Maja Milčec. By analyzing the narrative, which consists of the authors describing events from their private lives, their memories of the Zagreb of their youths, the city being at the core of their identities, and illustrating to the readers Zagreb's streets and cafés I am able to establish the fact that chick-lit is an important part of Croatian pop culture, and the lack of academic work in Croatian proves that this topic has not been covered in-depth in Croatia.
